Calvert Trust & Children with Transverse Myelitis & ADEM

I have been treating children with transverse myelitis for last 16 years. Last weekend Transverse Myelitis society organised a family weekend at Calvert Trust in Lake District. There were many activities organised for the children and the adults and parents had the opportunity to speak to professionals who were there to help and answer questions. A good time was had by all. Amazing New Wheelchair

We found this amazing wheelchair on social media and just had to share it. It was developed by a team of 10 young medical students at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zürich, they are building it to compete in ETH’s CYBATHLON Championship for Pilots with Disabilities. It an amazing achievement to create a wheelchair that can climb stairs, it will have huge benefits to many around the world to so many people who need a wheelchair to get around each day.
