What are your opening times?
The Clinic is open from 9a.m. to 5p.m. Monday to Friday.
Do I need a referral?
No, unless you have private insurance where it may be required. Please check your policy.
What is an assessment and why do I need one?
At the Birkdale Clinic we complete a detailed 2 hour assessment to ensure an accurate understanding of the individual’s clinical presentation is obtained. Allowing an appropriate and specific treatment plan to be formulated which will be reassessed continually to ensure the individual’s needs are met during every session.

How much will it cost?
There is a set fee for an initial assessment and appointments thereafter are booked in hourly slots. For school age children, some LEA’s will finance physiotherapy – we can advise you in pursuing this option. Please contact us for further information.
What age group do you treat?
We treat all age groups including newly born babies.
What are the conditions which you treat?
We treat a wide range of Neurological Conditions a number of which are listed on our Conditions Page. However if your condition is not listed please feel free to contact us.
What is the Cancellation Policy?
If an appointment is cancelled within 48hours of the time of the appointment, we request 50% of the total fee. If the cancellation is made within 24hours we request 100% of the fee.
What about private health insurance?
Physiotherapy will usually be covered but is limited under most policies. We require payment from you and you will be responsible for recovering the cost from your insurer. An invoice may be provided where necessary.
